A bit of an effort but worth it.
We came across the rock on our first visit to New Plymouth. Now this is simply brilliant and a great challenge. However I would be wary about taking any youngsters under 4.

Mount Paritutu Mount Climb
Fairly easy mount to climb bit beware of loose rocks etc.. great view from the top. Took about 15 mins to the top and 20 mins down.
