Super well signposted path that's in the main relatively straightforward. Completed the first 25 miles with kids and hope to return to complete the rest.
The most beautiful of 127 km is the stretch between Chollerford and Banks. The part before and after is better left out.
Depart from Newcastle, Wall's end to Heddon on the Wall. 25 km of concrete and asphalt. 20 km beside the Tyne. Nice views in between but that's about all. Wall ? Nothing. Heddon on the Wall to Choller...

Completed this walk with help of Mickledore Tours. Highly recommend everything taken care of and you can just walk pack free. Delightful B&Bs great yummy lunches and easy directions and maps provided.
National trail that follows Hadrian's wall. Best done from West to East as the weather and hills are in your favour and you end up in Newcastle where the transport is easier. Beautiful countryside and...
