We were able to see the Porta San Salvatore several times during our visit to Sciacca as the restaurant where we enjoyed our Christmas dinner was very nearby. Lovely city gate that is a marvel to see...
Nice medieval door!
In the middle age the door was the main entrance to the city and is the most clean and rich from an architectural point of view.

The Porte San Salvatore is one of the three preserved doors to the city, less scenographical than the Porte Palermo, but still beautiful with remarkable decorations.
