POV: you’re inside Shanghai’s iconic buildingOh, there’s really nothing like a sunny day to hit up the Oriental Pearl and check out Shanghai from up high, like 263 meters up high! For just 160 RMB, you can explore 3 different levels of the tower. First up is the spot at 259 meters, where the view is just awesome. Plus, there are some cool souvenir shops to poke around in. After you’ve checked out that floor, you can head up to the 263-meter mark, where there’s this glass floor observation deck. It’s kind of the best place to hang out and take it all in, but you might have to wait a bit to get a spot all to yourself. Totally worth it for that killer photo, though. When you’re heading back down, don’t miss the floor in the biggest ball of the tower, where everything’s got this pink glass vibe, and you can even play some arcade games. Seriously, if it’s your first time in Shanghai, you’ve gotta make a stop at the Oriental Pearl. It’s a fantastic way to see the city from above and just soak in all those skyscraper views. Oriental Pearl TV TowerGetting There - Take Line 2 on the metro to Lujiazui. Exit doesn't really matter as there is a long bridge walkway taking you to the entrance. Attractions - Oriental Pearl Tower: The ticket we purchased for 319 RMB included the sightseeing deck (1 levels, one is the transparent observatory), the SH museum and the Lightpainting exhibition which was the highlight! Food & Restaurants - Buffet for an extra 210 RMB in the revolving restaurant Shopping - Loads of tidbits to buy, souvenirs etc mainly for tourists You can purchase tickets via a QR code at the door but beware the guys don't speak much English and told us we had access to everything in the tower including lunch for 319 RMB which was not the case. The space capsule (top ball) is an extra 80 RMB but sure there are more expensive packages that include this. Buy on Trip for 199 instead! #historiccultureRobyn16

The view from the top was nice, but the observation deck at 263 meters was so crowded that there was no space to take photos at leisure📷, and the experience wasn't great. The Oriental Pearl, as an iconic building in the center of Shanghai, is worth visiting. And there is a historical display museum inside, you can learn about the history of Shanghai before and after liberation, it is worth a visit!
The time period last year was better. I took my children to see the Oriental Pearl Tower and feel the bustling metropolis. Standing on the second ball, I watched the scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River, felt the culture of Shanghai, and watched the dinner at night. It was a good trip.
We traveled from Taipei to Shanghai and took our children to the Oriental Pearl Tower. The weather was fine. We took the elevator to the main sphere of three big balls. We can stand at different heights to enjoy the beautiful city scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River, especially walking on the fully transparent sightseeing gallery. Feeling the feeling of "air walk" is great! Standing on a high place overlooking the panoramic view of the Devil City... It is a memorable and beautiful enjoyment and it is very regrettable! 🙂
