Zizhulin Church

Walking along Yingkou Road, I found this church unexpectedly, and the church looked solemn but dim and lonely under the yellow light. After careful reading the instructions, I realized that this is the Zizhulin Church, originally located in the French Concession, often the church that the upper class churches love, but with the changes of history, gradually drowning out.

The church is located on the banks of the Haihe River on the east side of Yingkou Road in Tianjin, and is named for its location in the village of Zizhulin, which was originally built in 1872 and is located in St. Louis Road, so it is also known as St. Louis Church. It is said that the people who came and went here were dignified officials in the concessions, but today, they have completely seen the brilliant style of the year.

According to historical records, the Zizhulin Church is named after the village of Zizhulin in the French Concession. Zizhulin is very important in the early development of the Concession, which is the first place occupied by countries such as Britain, France and the United States. Therefore, the name of Zizhulin has appeared in the writings of foreigners who came to China in the early days.

Historical feeling, the surrounding environment is clean and quiet, very suitable for a leisurely walking tour, I feel that life has slowed down. The church in Tai'an Road is also very classic, there are many Huisha photos taken every day.

The old Tianjin church, if taste is no more than the purple bamboo forest church on the banks of the Haihe River in the French Concession. Most of the people entering and leaving the church were foreign and Chinese, and it was difficult for ordinary people to join them. The Catholic Church of the Zizhulin, built in 1872, is located on the banks of the Haihe River at the eastern end of Yingkou Road. The church covers an area of 6.8 mu and has a construction area of 779 square meters. The church is under restoration work. Very nice building with unique style.
