Batu Ferringhi Beach is located in the north of Penang. Boasting soft sand and clear water, it is famous in South-East Asia. On the waterfront, you can see a traditional Malay stilt house called Malay Kampong. On the beach, there is not only beautiful scenery, but also various water sports such as paragliding, water skiing and snorkeling. It is hotspot for holidays and travel.

I was born and raised in Penang so I visited Batu Ferringhi beach a lot when I was younger. It was a hot spot for locals and tourists alike.
There is a variety of water activities available such as banana boating and jet-skiing. I even went paragliding with my sister on New Years of 2010. It was pretty awesome looking down from above. If you’re up for it, you can try horse riding too.
If you’re looking for a secluded beach with crystal clear water, this isn’t it. Not by a long shot. But if you’re looking for fun in the sun, you’re in the right place. It’s loud, and busy, and the water is pretty murky… But it’s the activities that make Batu Ferringhi beach what it is.
Yep, you’ll find activities galore on Batu Ferringhi beach. If you want to hire a jet-ski or gallop along the shore on horseback, this is it. Why not hop on a banana boat or go parasailing?
One thing Batu Ferringhi beach really has going for it are the sunsets. As the sun starts to go down, the whole beach starts to glow a gorgeous shade of purple. Even though the sun eventually disappears behind a mountain, this glow is the stuff of romance movies.
A very nice beach to walk, white sands and spectacular views. Lots of activities going on and there is a variety of small businesses offering gliding, boat trips, massages etc. One of the best thing you can do here is enjoy the sunset and have a relaxing evening.
Whilst the area is beautiful and has lots of water sports to enjoy there are also jellyfish in the water. They are really painful and there is not much if any information about this at the beaches. I had a fisherman come and pour some vinegar which I am grateful for. After being there for several days I was aware of numerous other people also getting stung! Just a warning and be prepared!!!
Many people have an impression of Penang, food, comics, and Chinese, but they dont know that there are beach resorts in Penang.
Penang is one of the famous seaside resorts in West Malaysia in addition to its cultural heritage. Around Penang, which is surrounded by the sea, there is a 11-kilometer white beach stretching from Tanjung Bungah to Batu Ferringhi. The Batu Ferringhi Beach in the north of Penang is the best in the beach. place. This time, the Malaysian Bank did not include Langkawi, so I took a few days in Penang and went to Batu Ferringhi to get in touch with the sea.
Friends who are familiar with geography should know that Malaysia's land is divided into two parts by the South China Sea. The waters facing West Malaysia and East Malaysia are different, and the color and clarity of the sea are also very different. The scenery of Batu Ferringhi may not be comparable to that of Sabah and Sarawak in East Malaysia, but each beach has its own unique style. Batu Ferringhi Beach is a popular place for water recreation. In addition to the popular water activities such as paragliding, banana boat and jet ski, horseback riding is also available along the beach. Especially when the sun sets, tourists ride on the beach and are very artistic. At the same time, dozens of high-end hotels built along the coast have also attracted a large number of foreign tourists to come to vacation.
In the red sky of the setting sun, whether it is a handle, a hug, a kiss or a daze, let the beautiful picture of Batu Dingyi's sunset moment freeze in my mind and camera.
TIPS: The sea paragliding here is very cheap, so try it.
