The surroundings are calm.
To that extent, go to "Betsumine-in"! It is located on the south side of Uji / Manpukuji Temple and on the west side of Obori Park. It was founded by Dochi Tetsubun, a monk of the Obori sect, in 1675 during the Edo period. It's usually private, but the gate was open, so I took a peek, and the precincts were well maintained and quiet.
