Mosque of Ibn Tulun

Very outstanding architectural gem. The third largest mosque in Cairo. There is a small historical exhibition. There are many architectural details - the shape of the lighthouse. I climbed to the roof of the mosque to see the surrounding scenery. Not crowded at all! No tickets required. But the shoe attendant kept asking for more tips!

Amazing place. The only mud brick masjid which is standing today in Egypt. Minaret is open for people to climb to the top, and the views are wonderful.

The oldest mosque in the old city of Cairo was built during the Abbas Dynasty in the 9th century A.D. The ancient, rustic and yellow pointed arcade surrounded the square courtyard. Its pointed arch was several hundred years earlier than the Gothic architecture in Europe. Although the overall decoration was relatively simple, it had the basic characteristics of the later mosque, and it was an ancient and beautiful mosque.

Another mosque is very concentrated and very close, and many people are very spectacular in appearance, although they are almost the same shape, but it really gives people a very different feeling of praise.

It's a very special mosque, with very few people, and the neighborhoods around it are very interesting. And the steeple next to it can go up and you can see the streets of Cairo. It's worth visiting.
