    We were here mostly for the absolutely stunning views of Popocatepetl, Atlixco to the east and the surrounding countryside. There are several viewing spots on the walk up, but the best is at the top....

    Shrine at 3775 mts above sea level

    Walking 3 hours to reach this old shrine devouted to Saint Michael Archangel is worth because you can watch an expression of the mexican people feelings concerning religion.
