It is an educational institution in the Joseon Dynasty, and it is a private school these days. (Public is Hyanggyo) The Seowon that remains in the Daejeon area is Wonchon-dong, Sunghyeon Seowon, and Tanbang-dong, Dosan Seowon. It was dismantled due to the policy of withdrawing Seowon from Heungseon Daewon-gun, and was restored after excavation investigation in 1994. It's a quiet and peaceful place.

In some ways, it can be said that it is in a remote place, but it is a great place to visit. Although it is small in scale, the elegance of the hanok is well harmonized with nature, so it was nice to stay still. This is a place I would like to recommend to foreign friends.
