Oxingpingzi: This was an excellent stay! The guesthouse is located right in the heart of the scenic area, very close to Polaris Square, making it convenient for visiting various attractions and watching the bonfire party at night. The room's decor, furnishings, facilities, and cleanliness were all top-notch – we were very comfortable. The owner was incredibly kind. It was raining on the day we arrived, and we called him for directions from the park entrance to his place. He enthusiastically guided us on how to drive our car right into the courtyard, saving us from getting wet and having to take the park shuttle. When we arrived, our room was still being cleaned, so the owner kindly gave us a rundown of the scenic area's attractions and suggested we drop off our luggage and start exploring, which saved us a lot of time. After a tiring day of sightseeing, we asked for a restaurant recommendation, and he pointed us to a fantastic eatery where we had a very satisfying meal. On our departure day, the owner warmly invited us to visit again and even gave us some local specialty drinks as a gift. It was truly a wonderful accommodation experience, and we will definitely stay here again if we have the chance!

The owner is someone who truly appreciates life, very calm and patient. He's not one for excessive talk, but he loves sharing stories about the local culture, which adds a special touch to the travel experience. He's also super enthusiastic; when he's not busy, he even takes guests to visit all the must-see spots in Arctic Village. The breakfast is simple yet plentiful. A big thank you! We've already booked with him to come back in winter to see the Northern Lights. Hope to be lucky enough to catch them next time!

Compared to other guesthouses of this size, the price is quite reasonable. It's perfect for a family, with plenty of seating options like a sofa chair, a bench at the foot of the bed, and a desk chair – ideal for larger groups. The amenities are comprehensive, including an elevator, air conditioning, and a refrigerator. It's truly impressive to find such well-equipped guesthouses in a rural village. For breakfast, I had authentic Northeastern corn, which was deliciously sweet and sticky, and the soy milk was rich and creamy. The owner mentioned the corn was home-grown and the soy milk wasn't watered down, which I appreciated. They even gave me some corn for the road when I left. If you're visiting Beiji Village, you absolutely must stay here – it's fantastic!

Guest User: An excellent two-night stay at this hotel. The room was clean, modern and well-heated for the winter. It was a welcoming place to return to after a long day. However the location is slightly away from the center and bus stop (I am sure you can ask them to pick you up for free). But if you don’t mind walking like I do, you will appreciate this place for its general space and vicinity. The reception is happy to provide you with a thermos and the pitcher for you to 泼水成冰。 there is no need to pay for this beautiful experience. I did it 7 times on my own 🤣.

The building of the homestay is atmospheric and stylish, the lobby is decorated with white teak wood, full of northern forest characteristics, and the atmosphere is full. The room decoration is high-end and exquisite, clean and bright, the bedding is comfortable, the sound insulation is very good, and the quality of quiet rest is super high at night. The yard in front of the door is spacious and self-driving parking is very convenient. The most surprising thing is the food that comes with the homestay! The authentic northeast flavor, the pot-wrapped meat is tender in the outside, the braised river fish is fresh and fragrant, a table of home-cooked dishes taste authentic, the ingredients are fresh, and the taste is online. The boss and his family are warm and hospitable, and the demand is responsive quickly and treats people really. Sunlight illuminates the desk by the wooden door, the wardrobe area is neatly organized, and the bathroom features warm brown tiles, a smart toilet, a steady rainfall shower, and a separate wet and dry area. The dining room, with its dark wood finishes and warm lighting, feels like sitting by grandma's old stove. The room is equipped with a refrigerator, hairdryer, and projector, and the building has an elevator. 🛁 There's also a room with a private hot spring bath. The water temperature is just right, and outside the window, you can see the scattered lights of Arctic Village while the wind whispers through the forest. 🍚 Breakfast is a simple yet hearty Northeastern Chinese meal: freshly ground soy milk and homegrown glutinous corn. The common area includes a game room, gym, and laundry facilities. Step outside, and within a 500-meter walk, you'll find the northernmost post office, where you can send a postcard stamped with the "northernmost" postmark. The Arctic Village Monument is about 340 meters away, and the North Pole Square is roughly 990 meters. A few days later, and the leaves would have fallen. The weather isn't too cold yet; it's warm and sunny during the day, making it very comfortable to walk through the forest. ☁️ Recent weather Daytime temperatures are 10–20°C. It's quite warm in the sun, but at night it drops to around 0°C, so the temperature difference is huge. It's mostly sunny; the autumn sun isn't scorching, but the UV rays are strong. The forest area is windy and dry, so your lips might get chapped. 🎒 What to pack ⭕️ Three outfits are enough for 3–4 days, but you must pack a thick jacket ⭕️ A light down jacket or a 3-in-1 shell jacket is most practical. They are windproof and warm—you'll rely on them when waiting for the sunrise ⭕️ Choose quick-dry base layers so sweat wicks away quickly while walking during the day; avoid cotton ⭕️ Wear fleece-lined pants with non-slip sneakers. The autumn colors hadn't fully faded, and the first snow had already settled. It was a few degrees above freezing during the day and below zero at night—a crisp, clean kind of cold. I've scouted out the photo spots, food, and accommodation for you. Here is the guide👇 🚗 Transportation Guide The easiest way is to transfer in Harbin to Mohe Gulian Airport, which takes about an hour. If you want to save money, take the train from Harbin; a sleeper berth costs between 100 and 200 yuan and gets you there overnight. You must charter a car once you land. The photo spots are spread out over three days, and it's dozens of kilometers from the city to the Arctic Village. It's most convenient to negotiate a flat rate for the three days of car service in advance. 🗺️ Itinerary Day 1: Arrive in Mohe, charter a car straight to the Arctic Village to settle in. Head to the riverside in the evening to scout locations. The sunset over the border river outlines the mountains on the opposite bank in gold—perfect for your first shot. Beihong Village, formerly known as Dacaodianzi Village, is part of Beiji Town, Mohe City, in the Greater Khingan Range region of Heilongjiang Province. It is China's northernmost village-level administrative unit, surrounded by mountains on three sides and with the upper reaches of the Heilongjiang River flowing through it. It is a village inhabited by ethnic Russians that has preserved its pristine character. With a population of approximately 320, over 40% are of Russian descent, fostering a unique Russian culture. The village's architecture is primarily log cabins, with Russian-style churches and traditional dwellings preserved. The area boasts Sino-Russian boundary markers, border outposts, and a riverside park. In 2019, Beihong Village was selected as one of the first national key villages for rural tourism.

The shuttle bus stops at the scenic area for a short time, and the tour content is limited, so making it not very cost-effective to make a special trip there.

The birch forest you see is different from what I see! The scenery we saw was very beautiful. The main scenery was not the birch forest, but the big bend of the river after passing through the birch forest. After looking at the pictures, the location is from Beihong Village, turn to the mainland of Beiji Village, and walk more than ten kilometers. There is a parking lot on the left side of the road. No one collects money. The small road walks into the birch forest on the side of the road. About 500 meters, down a small slope, there is an observation deck, overlooking the scenery. The scenery here is excellent. It is possible that the chartered driver knows this place clearly.

He often went to the dance hall near the scene to dance and commemorate his deceased wife. The current dance hall was rebuilt after the song became popular. It is no longer the original site.
