El Sunzal

From the moment I stepped foot on land in El Salvador, I felt at ease. I drove around the country and only came across beautiful, warmed-hearted people. The drive to the hotel was around 1 hour but it was scenic and pleasurable. I would also recommend staying in El Tunco which is a surfer town (a bit "touristy" but had a cool vibe). I was out at all sorts of hours of the night and I felt safe. I recommend renting a car so you can have the freedom to drive around and see places outside of the hotel. This is especially helpful if you are short on time! There are several activities you can do so you will definitely have things to keep you busy. The food in El Salvador is wonderful so please be sure to keep an empty stomach to try it! They use the US dollar as their main form of currency so keep this in mind.
