Personale gentile e professionale, anche se le recensioni su the fork erano pochine, ci siamo fidati. Il locale aveva un&#39;atmosfera familiare e rustica da montagna. Cibo ottimo, sia per la qualit&agrave; della materia prima, che la capacit&agrave; dello chef per la cottura dei piatti. Ottimo il tortino di funghi, straordinario lo stinco di maiale e la tagliata. Anche la quantit&agrave; dei piatti molto soddisfacente.

Kind and professional staff, even if the reviews on the fork were few, we trusted them. The place had a familiar and rustic mountain atmosphere. Excellent food, both for the quality of the raw material and the chef&#39;s ability to cook the dishes. Excellent mushroom pie, extraordinary pork shank and tagliata. Also the quantity of the dishes very satisfying.

Because we stayed in Strbono for one night, we specially booked a very famous local mushroom restaurant, which is also a 2019 Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant. If you have a similar itinerary as us, I recommend trying this restaurant for dinner (but in summer, it is mainly meat and vegetables, and only a small part of the mushrooms are frozen, because summer is not the season for fresh local mushrooms)
My friend chose a mixed meat and mushroom set meal, and I chose an all-mushroom set meal. All 5 dishes are normal size, which is enough for two people. I recommend the mixed set meal, which has more flavors. The winter set meal of mushrooms is a bit monotonous.

The food was avarage. We took a menu of the day - carbonara (turned out the price of it was like a main course from a &quot;menu&quot;. I was proposed to have a side plate ( a few slices of mushrooms) which turned out was almost the same price as a main course. The prices were not matching those from the menu (beer for example). Even with a 20% less reservation with TheFork we paid a lot more than we should for a very avarage food. Will not come back.

Since we are in Castelbuono, we must go to the main store of Fiasconaro. There are two stores facing each other on the main street of the town. One is where you can buy all kinds of desserts, and the other is similar to a bar, where you can choose 2-3 different Christmas sweet breads of the day. We had breakfast there. We also chose Italian croissants cornetto. My friend thought it was a bit hard, but I thought it was just right. It tasted great with the dessert cream and jam inside. We also bought a pistachio cake before leaving, which made the two of us very happy afterwards.
In the store that specializes in selling desserts, one is full of Christmas sweet breads. When we went there, it was a week before Xmas, and there were endless customers coming to buy. The other store is for all kinds of other desserts, and the selection is dazzling. By the way, the store also sells sweet breads with the scene of Jesus&#39; birth, and the price is also very high. It feels like &quot;buyers don&#39;t eat, and eaters don&#39;t buy&quot;.
