In the evening, I checked in at the venue used for the filming of the Chinese restaurant variety show. It is a traditional French restaurant. You can make an appointment but you can also wait for a table. It is facing the square fountain and the atmosphere is really great. There are also seats on the second floor. In summer, because it is too hot inside, they usually only receive guests at the seats outside. You must go inside to have a look, because there are photos of participating stars hanging on the wall. The interior decoration of the second floor, including the bathroom, is also very beautiful. For the appetizer, I ordered casseloro, and the salad was served with a half-boiled egg, white sauce and beans. It was a very special dish with a refreshing taste. 🐟We ordered fried trout, still with sauerkraut. I feel that sauerkraut here is free, right? 😂 The fish was fried tenderly, the fish skin was crispy, and there was no fishy smell at all. It tasted good. 🥘 Another main course was barley risotto risotto. The barley was chewy and delicious with the sauce. 🍮The final dessert was brulee and rum baba. The caramel on the brulee surface had become a very thin and crispy surface, and the texture inside was semi-fluid creme, with no solid taste at all. It was so delicious. The rum baba was a bit too alcoholic, and the waiter poured it freshly after serving it... The food was average overall, and it was OK for a check-in, so don't expect too much. Places close early in Colmar and this seemed to be our only option past 9pm. But an enjoyable place to dine, local dishes, plentiful portions, attentive, helpful and enthusiastic waiters.

Appreciated local wine tasting to assist with selection. Wonderful terrine appetizer. Very good Alsace sauerkraut and trout with sauerkraut entrees.

We enjoyed our dinner so much. I had the duck confit and it was delicious. My husband had the pork, really great too. Service was excellent. Staff was very helpful!

My reservation did never reach the restaurang. The solved it in a very good way though..................................!!................
