Geelong, next to Great Ocean Road
#celebratewithtrip
Geelong, The Waterfront esplanade has a 19th-century carousel, plus a curved art deco boardwalk and sea bath at Eastern Beach.
Scattered along The Waterfront are the Baywalk Bollards, colourful sculptures chronicling city history. A city next to GOR, you could actually travel between Geelong Docklands via Port Philip Ferries, the price is affordable! Definitely worth it.
Had a relax walk in Geelong waterfront, unfortunately the day we went was shower, we could still feel the cold temperature during this Spring. Looking forward for Port Philip Ferries next trip! #tripblazers #geelong #melbourne #relax #waterfront #spooktaculartrip #fallingforfall #awesomepic #portphilipferries #docklands #spring

Nice view at Geelong
I have been to Geelong for the White Night event. I found that the view is really good, especially the ocean view. The weather is colder if compared with city.

Otway Fly Treetop Adventures Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Australia | Take a walk on the top of the rainforest tree
Otway Fly Treetop is the longest and tallest canopy walkway in the world and a great family trip on the Great Ocean Road. project. There are two types of excursions, one is a rainforest walk for all ages, and the other is a relatively high-altitude cableway. As a non-adventure project enthusiast, I naturally still take a step on the top of the tree.
Treetop Walk
is about 2 kilometers in length. It takes about 1 hour to visit. It consists of a steel frame canopy walkway that is 600 meters long and 30 meters high, and walks between us through the canopy. There will be a spiral tower (Spiral Tower) with a height of 45 meters in the middle. From the perspective of God, the rainforest will have a different feeling.
Zipline Tours
2.5 hours of cableway taxiing, including 8 cloud stops, 6 taxis, 2 suspension bridges, and 1 hour treetop walk.

My First Treetop Walk at Otway
After resting for a night at a motel on the Great Ocean Road, a drive of about an hour brought us to the entrance of the Otway Treetop Walk, located in the Otway region. There is a free open-air parking lot near the entrance.
I imagined the treetop walk to be a bit thrilling, but in reality, it was very safe and even a bit bland. After ticket verification at the entrance, we directly entered the forest and quickly reached the treetop walk entrance following the signs. It turns out that the treetop walk is just a walk on a steel-framed walkway that has been set up. However, when I stood on the steel-framed walkway at the canopy layer and looked down at the jungle, I still felt it was magical. Although humans don't have wings, we can still stand at the height of birds and appreciate the beauty of the sky. It is said that the Otway treetop walk is the longest and tallest of its kind in the world, and probably the sturdiest too, able to withstand a category 5 tornado.
According to the explanatory signs along the walkway, the Otway rainforest has four layers: the canopy layer, the understorey leaf layer, the middle layer, and the rainforest floor. Each layer is a unique ecosystem, providing habitats for different groups of animals and plants. At the same time, each layer supports the others, offering protection and nutrients. Walking through the rainforest and learning some knowledge is very suitable for family trips, and children can be educated while having fun on the way.
There were no restrooms seen during the walk in the forest, so it is recommended to use the facilities at the visitor center before entering.
The visitor center offers simple meals, with prices similar to other tourist areas.
Those who like thrilling experiences can choose the zip-line. For us, the treetop walk was just right, safe, comfortable, and not too tiring.
In addition to the coastal roads, the Great Ocean Road can also enter the tropical rain forest. The winding roads are very narrow and have the feeling of exploration. The Otway tree top walks, and the 25 meters high to watch the rainforest is unique. It is also a natural oxygen bar.

- playground for kids
- ride
- my only concern is the shower area. Its just so few and it imagine there are so many people there wanting to clean up.
- also parking always full and only have 3hrs.
Geelong Baywall Bollards Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Located in the western part of Melbourne, 76 kilometers south of Melbourne, Geelong has a population of approximately 200,000 and is the second largest city in Victoria. There are many tourist and entertainment spots around it, such as the Safari Park, the Wool Museum, the Naval Museum, and Victoria's largest theme park, Adventure Park. Of course, for many people who visit the Great Ocean Road, there is not much time to watch, and they can only rush through like us.
As a former seaport, there are countless boats moored here every day, and there are also piles for rafting on the shore. With the development of the times, the stakes were gradually abandoned, but they became treasures in the eyes of the artist Jan Mitchell. As a result, more than 100 people of different shapes and colorful woods were born. Each group of wood people has their own stories behind them: there are couples who commemorate World War II, and volunteer infantry bands, representing the different history of Geelong. period.

Amazing Architecture
#melbournetrip
The art gallery architecture was a stunning, beautiful, and inspiring experience that why it catch my attention. The gallery itself is well maintained and cosy with a nicely presented collection of art that gives you a sense of the local area and Victoria. A Bush Burial by Fred McCubbin is kept here - perhaps one of the most moving Australian paintings ever completed.
Overall, my experience was pretty great.
P.S don’t touch the paintings or the antiques.
