The waters of Ba Songcuo Lake are crystal clear, surrounded by snow-capped mountains; the spring lake is surrounded by flowers and the scenery is pleasant; in the autumn, the mountains are red, the layers of forest are dyed, and the sky is blue. It has a typical Tibetan beauty: snow mountains, lakes, forests, waterfalls and pastures are perfectly combined and the scenery is beautiful. There is a small island named Zhaxi about 100 meters away from the shore of the lake. It is said that the island is a "hollow island", that is, the island and the bottom of the lake are not connected and float on the lake.
