Ch'ing-shui Cliff - Taroko National Park
#passionpassport
Qingshui Cliff is a 21 kilometer length of coastal cliffs averaging 800 meters above sea level in Xiulin Township, Hualien County. The tallest peak, Qingshui Mountain, rises 2408 meters directly from the Pacific Ocean. The cliff is located at the southern part of the Suhua Highway that connects the counties of Yilan and Hualien. It is considered to be a very scenic area and is the highest coastal cliff. It is located within Taroko National Park. Looks beautiful with its blue water. It’s not a sandy beach as it has small stones so not good for beach activities but it looks surreal. #beautifuldestinations #passionpassport #traveladdict

Taroko National Park - Taiwan
#passionpassport
Taroko became a national park in 1986, including Hualien City, Nantou County and Taichung City. Taroko is famous for its spectacular mountains and marble canyons. Cliffs and canyons stretch along Liwu River. Four million years ago, the island of Taiwan was formed by the collision of plates. After millions of years of wind erosion, the marble rocks were exposed and cut by Liwu River, creating impressive grand canyons. From Qingshui to Nanhu Peak, the drop height is 3,742 meters. Such special geography has also bred special flora and fauna in this area.

beautiful beach in Hualien
#taipei
Qixingtan Beach (七星潭) is one of the most beautiful beaches in Taiwan, which is in between Hualien and the eastern entrance of Taroko Gorge National Park.
the view from the beach was amazing - imagine the blue sky meeting an endless Pacific Ocean. The shore is bespeckled with white and black gravel that is smooth to the touch.
it is really nice to spend an hour or so at the beach, to enjoy rhe view and relax!
Trip to Hualien
One of the must-do things in Hualien is to join a boat trip to see the dolphins🐬. I got tickets from a travel agent in Hualien, it's much cheaper than you buy from Apps or buy onsite. Every day have morning and afternoon trips. Each trip takes you around 4 hours (including 30 minutes of safety instruction). We were hoping to see dolphins for more than 2 hours and only after we met one group of those nice animals.

Qixingtan Beach, Hualien - Taiwan: A beautiful beach with nice rocks indeed. This city is quite far away from Taipei which I went there by train to Hualien and then rent a car with driver to this beach and somewherelse.
At the edge of Hualien Qixingtan, I received a blessing from the sea!
When you arrive at Huaxing Qixingtan, there are many people who have a question. Where is the tan? Hualien Qixingtan, not a lake, is a beautiful bay. The beach here is not a common yellow sand beach, but a cyan pebbles. These pebbles are round and transparent under the rush of the waves, making Qixingtan the best place for surfers in the suburbs of Hualien.
Find seven different types of stone barriers at the seaside to become the common "Mani pile" style in Tibetan areas. But the difference is that the Mani heap is engraved with scriptures, patterns, etc. The stones here are washed away by the Pacific Ocean water, and it is a blessing from the sea.
Although the pebbles are beautiful, Taiwan is not required to take away the stones and other items on the island. The purpose is also to protect the environment. It has been reported on the Internet that mainland tourists were stopped at Taoyuan Airport with five kilograms of pebbles. . For the sake of environmental protection, let the beauty stay in our minds and cameras for the sustainable development of Qixingtan.
The sea and the Kenting of Qixingtan are completely seas of two meanings. Compared with the softness and softness of Kenting, Qixingtan is more primitive and rough. The waves kept slap on the beach, igniting the white waves, and then retreated in the sound of "".

Ch'ing-shui Cliff Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The clear water cliff, the clear water mountain on the cliff in the Pacific Ocean, the stone cliff 90 degrees straight into the Pacific Ocean, the height is more than 800 meters. The shape of the cliff is like a sheath, and the cliff is white. The form is very dangerous. The hh/sea is a variety of blue because of the sudden drop in the depth of the seabed. A very beautiful picture
sea breeze is still very large, with salty salt. The smell of the slap on the body, the scenery of the clear water cliff adds a touch of momentum
cliff and color sea water in the shore of the waves, the white waves beat the cliff, a kind of decision-making, the climate change can really see Different views, understanding is different
This is an unknown new discovery
One side is the sea of the Pacific Ocean, and the other side is the cliff that rises from the ground. The color of the sea is dark blue, light blue, green, green and white from far to near. The Qingshui Cliff is located on the Suhua Highway, one of the most beautiful roads in China. The waters of the Pacific Ocean are constantly slap on the cliffs, and the cliffs stand uncompromisingly.
Here, it's worth it, it's worth your shock!
The shape of the cliff is like a sheath, and the cliff is white, and the form is very dangerous. It is the sea cliff area on the west coast of the Pacific Ocean. The clear water cliff is magnificent and is known as the second largest cliff in the world. The Suhua Highway, built in the middle of the cliff, appears intermittently under the barrier of these tunnels. Below the cliff is the turbulent waves and the vast Pacific Ocean.
very beautiful place, the sea has 2 colour tones with the bright sun. Perfect. en route to taroko gorge.
In this lifetime, one must definitely come to see the sea of Hualien
💟 Where the sea meets the sky, this might be the beach closest to the Pacific Ocean in my country. I have seen the sea in many places before, but when I saw the distant Pacific Ocean from the Qixingtan beach, I was still very shocked.
It's very suitable to sit on the pebble beach in the afternoon, quietly staring at the seaside and daydreaming, listening to the waves. The beach curves into the land, and the coastline is long, with huge reefs visible along the way. Besides the pebbly beach by the sea, there is also a very smooth promenade on the inside.
💟 One of Taiwan's top ten scenic spots, Qingshui Cliff and Qixingtan are definitely must-visit attractions. Taroko Gorge is not within our plan (because there are often earthquakes and accidents, not too daring to go). We booked a car in advance, and the driver told us a lot of local customs and folk stories, with laughter all the way, which is also one of the most profound experiences of this Hualien trip.
The Suhua Highway in Taiwan is a coastal highway that connects Yilan to Hualien, with mountains on one side and cliffs on the coast on the other. Along the blue coastal highway of the Pacific Ocean, although the road is winding, it is really beautiful. The cliffs of Qingshui Mountain facing the Pacific Ocean are very dangerous and magnificent.
💟 Don't miss Qixingtan when you go to Hualien, with its long coastline, romantic beaches, and enjoying the beauty of nature with the sea breeze. But! Don't get too close to the sea, sometimes the waves can be very big!!

Taroko Gorge Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The beauty of Taroko⚡️⚡️⚡️
Here are some recaps for one of the most iconic tourist destination in Taiwan, Taroko Gorge.
Situated in Xiulin Township, East Coast of Taiwan, Taroko Gorge is so damned beautiful. Look at those blue clear water surrounded with eyepleasing scenery, how can I forget that? There are also a lot of things to do in Taroko. The national park has lots of amazing hiking trail. It was so much fun when i visit there last time✨
How to get there 🚎 🚎
If you are in Taipei the quickest way to go there is via Hualien by train. A lot of trains run daily from Taipei. It takes 2,5 hours from Taipei to Hualien and costs approx. 450 NTD. After that you still have to ride for almost 40 minutes.
Tips⚡️⚡️
- Don’t forget to bring bug spray, sunscreen, umbrella and a hat. It could be really hot in summer. Also wear comfortable shoes👟 👟
Price 💰💰
Entrance to the park is free

takoro gorge
A place where nature and peace meet. a must see when on a trip to Taiwan even though the fact that the park is actually a highway for common traffic is a bit disappointing .
We reached it by train and travelled the park through public bus. during weekends the buses only pass 1 time every 1 or 2 hours so make sure to know which stops you really want to see or you might be stuck
Hike with a sea view
We hired a guide to drive us from our hotel to the hiking location and he was very familiar with the terrain. He brought us through some caves and along the mountain side that faced towards the sea, what a breathtaking view! Would recommend not to have young kids with you though as there can be falling rocks overhead.
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Incredible gorge in Hualien!
This not-to-be-missed geological marvel is located in the eastern part of Taiwan, a rugged island that punches far above its weight in terms of mountains and ecological diversity. Wandering through the 19 km-long gorge, one can’t help but stare at the cliffs high above, then gaze down at the boulder-filled Liwu River.
Because Taroko Gorge is a treasure chest of marbles, schists and gneissic rocks, the colour scheme includes creamy whites, dark greys, light browns plus soft shades of silver and gold. And then there’s the foliage which thrives in all but the most vertiginous spots, as well as the hemlock, spruce, cypress and pine forests that cover more than four fifths of Taroko National Park.
The only road through Taroko Gorge is the Central Cross-Island Highway. Completed in 1960 by demobilised soldiers who’d followed Chiang Kai-shek when he withdrew from the Chinese mainland more than a decade earlier, it’s a spectacular but challenging ribbon of tarmac. Drivers may feel nervous, but for passengers it’s a thrilling succession of eye-popping sights. Glimpses of sheer rock faces and azure streams are followed by intoxicating, as-far-as-the-eyes-can-see mountain vistas.
