The Babylonian ruins, located on the right bank of the Euphrates River, 90 km south of Baghdad, Iraq, were built in 2300 BC and were the capitals of the Kingdom of Babylon (2000 BC to 1000 BC) and the Kingdom of New Babylon (7th century BC to 6th century BC). During the New Babylonian Kingdom Nebuchadnezzar II rebuilt the ancient city on a massive scale covering more than 10,000 hectares, the most famous building being the 91-meter-high 7-story Tower of Babel and the Temple of Mark Duke above, and the sky garden known as one of the seven wonders of the world during the Hellenization era. Now the remains of these buildings have disappeared, there are few monuments left, the site is only a few foundations, and some low walls, lion reliefs and gates have been restored on these foundations.
its amazing trip
Is that the point of the Babylonian ruins?
