Great place where you can just relax because you will see only beautiful sceneries and for me specialy the old windmill was nice It is very close to Little Mermaid.
Kastellet, located in Copenhagen, Denmark is one of the best preserved star fortresses in Northern Europe. It is constructed in the form of a pentagram with bastions at its corners. Kastellet was continuous with the ring of bastioned ramparts which used to encircle Copenhagen but of which only the ramparts of Christianshavn remain today.
The Kastellet is a working fort with a small garrison. There's a path around the top of the ramparts that makes for a good run.
Copenhagen's star fortress was built in the early 17th century. It features two gates, a Baroque Commander's House, a prison, a windmill, and a church. Today, many of the buildings are used as military barracks. Its history is interesting, but its grounds are the real reason to visit. Cross the moat to find green lawns, a trail along the ramparts, and great views of the city and the water. It's near the Little Mermaid and, best of all, it's free.
