Photos of Sabah State Mosque

Sabah State Mosque stands majestically in the city, not far from the Sabah State Museum. The entire mosque is composed of 16 small domes surrounding the majestic golden dome. The architectural style combines modern and traditional elements. It is solemn, gorgeous and imposing. The mosque is dove-grey and plated with 18K gold and has a minaret. The hall can accommodate 5,000 people for gatherings. There is also a female-only balcony that can accommodate 500 people. It is a religious place for believers to pray. Tourists must enter from the main entrance and dress appropriately. There are rental robes at the entrance, and they can only enter after taking off their shoes. There is a pool in the middle of the first floor. Based on this pool, the patio-style design spreads outwards. The raw materials for the interior marble floors come from Italy. The architectural design of the interior is also like a geometric figure, with diamonds and corners everywhere on the stairs, handrails, and ceilings. The second floor is the prayer hall for boys. Compared with other mosques, the space is not large, but it is very solemn. In particular, the crystal lamp hanging in the middle is gorgeously but magically integrated into this immersive space, with sunlight pouring in through the geometric gaps on the surrounding walls. In this space, there is a mysterious power that makes people feel restless.
