Musee Schoeler, Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe
The Musee Schoelcher is a handsome, colonial-era building that has recently been restored and furnished with an excellent exhibition on slavery in the Caribbean, and the role that Schoelcher played it...
I hoped that we could see this Musee Schoelcher. It was closed for renovations. They posted how it will look like when it will be finished. All we can do is wait. Worthwhile to wait!
It took us a bit of searching to find the ruins of this museum. Sadly, it's falling down. I have no idea why they haven't removed all the street signs showing how to get there.
This place is closed, and no one is working on it, so the date for opening will likely be pushed back. I passed by a few times and no people working. they want to improve and expand, but good luck!
This is "closed for renovation." There is lumber piled inside the gate but no work going on. It is supposed to reopen in "2018". We were there on January 26, 2018.
