Wuzhi Tomb

There is a village four kilometers east of Qinghe County, Hebei Province. It is called Wujiana. Outside Wujiana, there is a simple courtyard under the green trees and red walls. This is Wuzhi Temple and Wuzhi Ancient Tomb. "Water Margin" says: "Wu Dalang is a native of Qinghe County." In fact, Wu Dalang's original name is Wu Zhi, which is completely different from the ugly daozi image described in "Water Margin". Wu Zhi, courtesy name Tianling, was a native of Wujiana Village, Qinghe County (known as Kongsongzhuang in ancient times) during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty. Wu Zhi lost his father when he was young, and lived with his mother. Wu Dalang was smart and eager to learn. He is smart, studious, knowledgeable, proficient in martial arts, middle-aged and middle-aged jinshi, and served as the county magistrate of Qipin in Yanggu, Shandong. He was a clean and honest official, and he was well-received by the people. When Wu Zhi's tomb was excavated in early 1946, a hanging coffin of nanmu was found. According to the reckoning of Wu Zhi's bones unearthed, he was at least 1.8 meters tall during his lifetime, which is fundamentally not the image of "three-inch cubes, valley bark" written by Shi Nai'an. Why did such a righteous person change into another appearance in "Water Margin"? It turned out that Wu Zhi had a teenage classmate, Huang Tang. After Huang Tang's name fell into Sun Mountain, unfortunately his home caught fire again, so he went to Wu Zhi, who was the magistrate of Yanggu County in Shandong Province at the time, to borrow money. He came to Yanggu County to live for half a month, but only met Wu Zhi on the day he came, because Wu Zhi had been busy with government affairs and had no time to take care of Huang Tang. Huang Tang thought that Wu Zhi avoided seeing him on purpose, so he returned to Qinghe County in a fit of anger. Along the way, in order to vent his personal anger, he wrote a lot of bad words about Wu Zhi on the trees and walls by the roadside, such as "Wu Dalang climbs the pole - can't reach up and down", etc., and also painted a lot of pictures mocking Wu Zhi's image. . When Huang Tang returned home, he saw a newly built house shining brightly. When Huang Tang asked his wife, he found out that Wu Zhi sent someone to send money and help to build the house after learning about what happened to Huang Tang. He wanted to tell Huang Tang after everything was ready. Huang Tang felt remorse and hurried back to Yanggu County to erase everything he wrote and painted along the way. Unexpectedly, these things happened to be seen by Shi Naian, and they were written into his "Water Margin", which was passed down through the ages, and spread all over the world. Wu Zhi's wife, Pan's Jinlian, is from Jinjinzhuang Village, Qinghe County, less than two kilometers away from Wu's family. It is recorded in Jinjinzhuang's "Pan's Family Tree" that the Pan family lived in the late Song Dynasty. Because of the floods in the past, the terrain here is relatively high and has never been affected. The soil is fertile and the market is prosperous. village. In the winter of 1992, the Wu clan of Wujia Nacun excavated the ancient tomb of Wu Dalang. The tomb is in the shape of a round well and is a hanging coffin tomb, and no relics have been found. In remembrance of their ancestors, the Wu clan renovated the tomb of Wu Dalang, and in 1996, raised funds to build halls, exhibition rooms, walls, gates, and corridors. A stele building was built in front of the tomb, and the inscription was written as follows: "The Duke of Wu planted the word Tianling, he was called Dalang when he was a child, and he was called the four old men in his old age. Wu Ding was born and settled in Kongsongzhuang (now known as Wujiana), Qinghe County. His father died when he was young, and he was dependent on his mother. Good quality, prosperous and detrimental, honest and fair, and the villagers gathered all the people with umbrellas to respect him. However, the long years, the vicissitudes of life, the unprovoked slander of famous festivals, the many robbery of ancient tombs, made good men and women hate Jiuquan, and regretted this. Yuan rectified his name and told Duke Wu of his condolences to show his descendants.
