Hisar Mosque Review

Izmir Hisar Mosque is the largest mosque here. There are many worshippers who come to pray every day. The mosque is decorated with brilliant gold and the red wool carpet is very comfortable. However, when visiting it, we must wear trousers and women's headscarves.

I visited early in the morning and it was a solemn air.

The Hisar Mosque is the oldest and largest mosque in Izmir. Founded in the 16th century and rebuilt in the 19th century, it has a magnificent interior decoration. In addition, it is known as the Mimber's performance altar and the Mihrab's altar.

Mosque is a typical building structure, white pillars are very characteristic, tall four heels, when entering the interior need to take off shoes.
