Visited the Jazz Cafe at lunchtime on Friday 19 October 2018, booked a table for the evening and was told that music would start at 8:30 and jazz would start at 10:00. We arrived soon, waiting, ordering some cocktails, honestly, fine and not as expensive as expected. While ordering drinks, we were constantly harassed by staff (who seemed bored by the lack of customers) to order food. Suggest we wait, everything seems fine but quiet. More drinks because there is still no music, however, this group of violinists will start at 8:30 and they are busy giggling in the corner. After sitting in overblown air conditioning for a while, one of many management noticed it, which was reduced by a few customers hugging themselves. Finally, at about 9.30am, the girls took to the stage and began playing. Obviously, as a young, giggling quartet, it's a new scene, but at least it's something. So we ordered the dish and noticed that the other two tables did the same, (one was on the table), and the dish took a long time to get on the table and it was cold, obviously sitting on a plate, obviously disappointed. The strings ended and then quieter. After a while we asked about the time jazz music should start, the waitress initially eager to serve told us she would ask, but never returned, plus the apparent lack of management now, all huddled in a corner. Come at 11pm, no music, no apology, no explanation, neither of us refunded tickets when we left. Lovely bar, lovely decorations, shame on food, questioning how they would cope when they were busy, as for jazz, what jazz!!
