我们乘坐市内巴士，在格拉夫顿桥附近下车，沿着这条传奇性的文化遗产步道走去。我们带着一本小导游手册，手册能指出路两边的历史建筑。这里有银行、许多零售商店、旅馆、公寓和教堂。一个有趣的设置是女性卫生间，它是为大量带着孩子的女性顾客服务的。这座现代建筑取代了20世纪20年代的建筑。其中一些商店是19世纪末建立的。

K Road比Queen Street更加正宗，比如，没有Prada和Gucci的店铺，更加像是一个多文化、阶层和身份的熔炉——每个人都能在这里找到属于自己的东西。但我不会在夜间在此穿行，跟男朋友一起走觉得安全些。在这吃个晚餐还不错，city link的红巴士在这有个站，是到这儿比较便宜和方便的一个方式

奥克兰中心城区的北端是海滨，其余三个方向由U形的高速路围起，过境车辆无须穿过城区。从南边进城后，沿着主街Queen Street向北走，首先你会经过一条横街，叫做Karangahape Road，简称K Road，街角是一座挺有风格的建筑。

在queen street 快到 karangahape road 那有很多韩国饭店和 日本饭店， 价格实惠，分量大（ 跟 澳洲做对比）， 有一天还在那吃了一顿19纽币的 韩国bbq 自助。 东西多， 味道好， 值得推荐。
