Lincoln Tomb Review

Lincoln Tomb is located in Oak Ridge Cemetery ( Oak Ridge Cemetery ), located west of the north of Springfield, Illinois. This cemetery contains many ordinary people. People just opened a wide area in the cemetery to build Lincoln Tomb. His wife and son are also buried in the cemetery, which stands a 30-metre granite obelisk. The four corners of the tower are decorated with four sets of bronze statues representing infantry, artillery, cavalry and navy, which symbolize the martyrdom of the Northern soldiers during the Civil War. The large bronze statue of Lincoln stands in front of the tomb. The tomb path is open and leads to the tomb chamber. There are bronze statues of Lincoln on both sides of the tombway, as well as bronze medals of his famous speech (inlaid on the tomb wall). The tombway leads directly to the tomb room, where Lincoln's sarcophagus is placed. Free parking is available in the cemetery. No parking and tour are charged.
