Opened in 1968, the building is one big eyesore on Avenida Paulista with a rather large concrete building supported by four ugly red columns, but the inside belies the unpleasantness of the outside. The Museum has some Goya's and Velazquez (my favorite painter of all time, he was a very lazy painter only completing 76 works that we know of) along with many paintings from the French Impressionists.
