Wat Intharawihan is more commonly referred to as "Standing Budda," because you guessed it, there is a massive statue of Buddha located on the grounds of the Wat. It's one of the sights that a lot of the tour guides package in on their Bangkok trips and that Tuk Tuk drivers will say you should go to, but you really don't need to. No disrespect to Buddha, but the Wat isn't very nice and neither is the standing Buddha. Skip this Wat and spend more time at Wat Pho (which I have also reviewed). It's a prettier place and there they have "lying Buddha," which also is nicer as well.
