Xisuo Village Review

The houses in Xisuo Village are very distinctive. Many buildings used to be built with stones. The ancient stone towers towered into the clouds, the roof was bright red tiles, and the totems that beat with the wind and the Gesang flowers blooming on the roadside, forming picturesque pictures. The houses in Sisso are basically three-story stone buildings, each with special uses, usually the ground floor is used to raise livestock, the second floor is the kitchen and residence, the third floor is the church and guest rooms. Because most of the houses are like bunkers, these houses are also called "squares".

Xisuo Village is a Jiarong Tibetan village, Suomo River and Nazu River under the bridge to run from the village front, the whole village houses are built scattered by the mountain, across the river like an ancient castle. In the stockade, the path paved with bluestones tightly connected each family into one piece, the slender path gives people a winding path to the flaws.

Xisuo residence has unique characteristics of Jiarong Tibetans, maintaining the traditional architectural style of Jiarong ancestors "laying stone as room", the stockade is scaled and scattered, and the distant view is like a high-barrier castle. The whole house from a distance, birds will be surprised to find that Xisuo Tibetan Village is similar to the "flower Yi" pattern in the Tibetan eight treasure pattern (like "Chinese knot", representing the heart of Shigatani), the blue stone path in the stockade upright and bent, the pattern line shows very clearly. Walking on the blue slate road, footsteps echoed between the towering stone walls, extending in the slender trail, giving people a winding path through the flaws.

The characteristics of the houses, all show the quaint style, strolling on the streets, remembering the past history, inseparable from hard work and dedication.

It is said that it was built in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. Looking at the photos, we can see that it is still well preserved. This is the place where the Tibetan people live, also known as Xisuo folk house. It is very beautiful and worth visiting.
