Osteria Pizzeria Il Vicolo Review

We had been out shopping and walking in Siena today (Friday), and as it was after 13:30 we were looking for some place to eat lunch, but did not want to eat on il Campo. We started walking down a side street, and turned the corner and there we found Osteria Pizzaria. There was no one in there, but the doors were wide open, and it looked very inviting. By the time we left, however, several other people had come in to eat. We were warmly greeted. The staff spoke enough English, if that is what you are looking for. My wife ordered a white cheese pizza with arugula and some cherry tomatoes. It was very good, nice and thin, just the way she likes it. I had spaghetti alla carbonara, which is something I have wanted to order ever since we arrived in Italy last week. With the open doors, there was a very nice breeze, and you still were able to watch people walk by.
