Ristorante Ai Tosi Grandi Review

The best place for pizza, and great Bellinis without paying St. Marks prices. I go there every time I visit, and highly recommend it as a secret gem.

We visited this restaurant as it was near to where we're staying and it was we were told where the locals eat... A little bit out of the way and not a touristy place. When we arrived we got a nice welcome from the waitress who spoke very little English but tried really hard with us to explain the menu ( all in Italian ) we chose well and had the pasta with salmon .. The pasta was fresh and the salmon in a cream nice , the place it's self looked a little cold and uninviting the tables were set out a little bit like a canteen and felt a little regimented. It was filled with local people all interacting with each other from table to table , we really did feel like foreigners .. But it was OK as we were entertained by all the goings on ... , but as the night wore on it became a hive of activity , music started and locals all sang along , a party of about 12 next to were up dancing and having a right old knees up... It turned out to be a lovely night and very entertaining and to see the local people enjoying themselves in there usual way was great .... So when I describe it as being a weirdly nice experience that's exactly how it felt ... We would probably not go back as I don't think it would be the same experience ... A unique night to remember
