Magical Trip of a Lifetime
We travelled to Lapland as a surprise for my 8 year old daughter and created memories that will last a lifetime. From landing at the airport the magic begins, elves greet you - there’s reindeers on the roadside and it’s nearly always dusk! Nothing was left to chance and the moment she met the real Santa Claus will stay in our hearts forever! If you can manage to do this trip it’s well worth the price tag! #Makingmemories #adventure #bucketlistdone

Rovaniemi Airport @Finland
Rovaniemi Airport is a small airport, about 10 km north of Rovaniemi city centre, however this airport is the third busiest airport in Finland.
During winter season, this airport become the busiest airport in Finland, because Rovaniemi airport is the main access to Lapland region, and it's the peak season during winter time.
There are eleven destination from 7 countries fly in and out directly from this airport. My flight was fly from Istanbul directly to Rovaniemi airport. Upon I landed in this airport, There are flights from London, Canada and Eastern Europe also reached this airport.
Although is busiest airport, the ambience in here is simple and less fancy. Basic amenities such as cafe and restaurant are availble, plus free wifi.

Ounasvaara Ski Centre Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The Ounasvaara Ski Center is simply amazing
You must go skiing in Finland in winter. Finland is really beautiful, the snow is very clean and soft, it's just like a fairy tale world!!! Near Christmas, you can also visit Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi~
The overall cost of the Ounasvaara ski resort is very cheap, with a full set of ski equipment for 3 hours only costing 28 euros. The ticket price for the beginner area for 3 hours is 13 euros, but the slopes in this area are too small and short. If you are confident in your skills, you can directly go to the advanced track. I was too bored in the beginner area, so I bought an additional hour on the advanced track for 18 euros. It was my first time skiing on a mountain trail, and it was so much fun! You can also enjoy the beautiful snow scenery on the way up the mountain by cable car. Because the sunset time is early, the sky always presents a dreamy pink-purple hue.
I skied on tracks 6, 8, and 9. The level of track 6 is easy, and 8 and 9 are directly rushing down from the top of the mountain, which is really steep, but the feeling of adrenaline rush is wonderful. Although Rovaniemi is close to -20 degrees, you don't feel cold when you are constantly moving and when the sun is out. However, you can feel the temperature drop when the sun sets around three or four o'clock. After having enough fun, I was satisfied and went back~
Rovaniemi Ounasvaara Ski Center
Of course, you have to check in at the natural snow field when you go to Northern Europe! We went to the largest snow field in Rovaniemi, Finland, the Ounasvaara Ski Center. We drove there because we rented a car at the time~ You can also call a taxi to go there.
📌Address: Taunontie 14,FIN-96600 Rovaniemi
🎈Procedure: Get off the car in the parking lot of the snow field, find the small house in picture 3 and go in, rent snow clothes and snow gear, and pay in this small house. Find the machine in picture 4 to fill in the English information, then turn around to the staff to report the filled name and you can pay~
🎈The price list can be found by searching the name of the snow field. I also took a picture of the price list in picture 8. The full snow track is about 3 hours 35.5 euros + the money for the key card is about 40+ euros~
The beginner's snow track is 13 euros, and you don't need the money for the key card. Ordinary snow gear includes shoes and snowboards. I'm a bit confused about whether or not I charged for it. The price impression will not exceed about 20 euros. Helmets and snow suits cost extra. I bought a three-hour beginner's snow track and added a full snow track for the last hour. I rented the snow gear there. The total price was 57 euros. If you are a beginner, I recommend the beginner's snow track (after entering, I found that the beginner's snow track is all children. The children here in Northern Europe are jumping and sliding on the advanced snow track. It's really amazing)
A must-visit ski resort in Finland
This winter I went skiing at the Ounasvaara Ski Center in Rovaniemi, Finland. After arriving, I first filled in the information in English on the indoor machine, then turned to the staff to report the filled name and then I could pay. The admission ticket is 45 euros/day, and the equipment rental fee is 23 euros/person. You can also choose an hourly admission ticket, but the difference between a 3-hour admission ticket and a 1-day admission ticket is only a few euros.
You need to prepare your own clothes, and skiing equipment can be rented on site for 23 euros (including ski poles, ski boots, skis, and helmets). Ski goggles are also available for sale at 60 euros/pair, and lockers for storing items are rented at 5 euros each.
Beginners can go to the beginner's ski field, which has a gentle slope. If you're tired, you can also play with snow tubes next to the ski trail. On the other side, there is also a professional full ski trail, which is very high and exciting. A friend went to experience it and came back to show me that the speed of sliding down was almost 100 yards. Pay attention to safety and experience as needed! If you're not particularly good at skiing, don't go up and suffer, you'll come down crying! (The local children are really born for snow, they all feel like flying)

Santa Claus' Main Post office Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The Arctic Circle is just across the village. When you come here, you can find a white line with the Arctic Circle dimension and a certificate that spans the polar circle.
Santa's Post Office has a variety of fairy-tale stamps, greeting cards and gifts. The letters sent from here will be sent to Santa Claus's postmarks to the rest of the world.
This is a place of emotional travel, waiting for you to send blessings to friends in the distance.
Come to Santa Claus Village, don't miss the Santa Post Office! Here, buy a postcard, write a full blessing, put it in the mailbox, and wait for the mail to arrive at home.
There are three mailboxes here, two big mailboxes, one small mailbox, the red small mailbox is sent to Santa Claus, in the two big mailboxes, the yellow one will be sent that night, and The red one will be sent out before Christmas that year, which is especially meaningful, although it will wait for half a year.
[tips]
In view of the fact that postcards are easy to lose items, here is also a good service to provide postmarks, as long as you buy stamps here (the stamps must be purchased at the post office here), and then pay extra For some expenses, you can directly put on the beautiful Santa's exclusive postmark on the postcard (not restricting whether the postcard is purchased at the post office here), and you don't need to mail it, you can take it home directly, not afraid of losing it. The only regret is that there is no domestic postmark.
The village of Santa Claus in Rovaniemi, Finland must be a place that every child with a childlike heart wants to go. The most special thing is that you can cross the Arctic Circle and write to Santa Claus.
The post office of Santa Claus Village, closed at 5 pm. Through the glass windows decorated with pine trees, there are still dark lights, postcards and beautiful souvenirs. There are two kinds of mail boxes here. The orange is the postcard sent immediately. The red color is sent before Christmas. The most special one is the special postmark here. It is Santa Claus and its sleigh. The world is unique. It is best to send friends. Gifts. Most of the postcards here are about Christmas and the characteristics of Northern Finland. From 1 Euro to 2 Euro, the stamps are also sold there. It is also beautiful and special. It seems to be about 2.4 Euros.
Here is the place where children around the world place their hopes and dreams. Children from any country in the world can write letters to Santa Claus here. Of course, in thousands of letters every year, Santa Claus will pick up some letters. So I can really talk, and the children who receive the letter must be especially lucky.
