This is a good place to visit. Personally I found it very humbling and sad when I saw the wall listed with the names of the soldiers who lost their lives. You must have at least 2hrs to spare. It is free but I would pay to get in because I love museums.

Very complete and thorough Korean war history museum. A journey in time across the country’s wars throughout the ages, with a focus on the Korean War. Very detailed exhibitions that give a thorough overview of the country’s struggles.Has an impressive tank/aircraft exposition on the outside, as well as a traditional Korean turtle boat!
A great museum to learn about the Korean War, its origins and the current status. Like many museums of its kind, it is tough to watch but important to learn and know about. Coupled to a visit to the DMZ, you start to get a better understanding of the tension between North and South Korea. The museum is free and easily could spend 2-3 hours here or more.
Despite of the fact that visiting a war memorial has always been an heartbreaking moment, War Memorial of Korea is a one nice and well maintained spot to know everything related to the Korean War.
I remember visiting this museum as a part of my school trip in elementary school and I was haunted by the photos for a long time. It is not a pleasant place to visit but it is very important for Korea's and the world's history.
