Bakong Temples

There is a modern temple on the left of Bakong Temple, and the right is a cremation tower according to the folk... I think it is also worth a visit. Although I went to 11 attractions, there are more than 10 that have not been there. I think each is worth a look... Damei Angkor you are worth seeing.

This is one of the largest temples in the east of the city, with a long history and thousands of years of history. Bakong Temple (actually a group of temples) is one of the earliest Angkor temples in Siem Reap. It is located away from the others, but is still very well preserved. Take the ride through villages and country roads to get here - don't go via National Road 6.

The Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva, the largest and most important temple in the ruins of Rollos, was established by King Indra Bama I of Angkor in 881. Once a large temple in the city center, its architectural style inherits the influence of Indonesian Borobudur characteristics. This is one of my favorite temples in Angkor, not because of his sculpture, but because of the atmosphere.

Bakong Temple ranks 40th among Siem Reap attractions, which is definitely a wrongful ranking. In terms of scenery, scale and elegance alone, I think it is second only to the five major scenic spots (Angkor Wat, Queen's Palace, Collapse Mile, Barong Temple and Tablon Temple), as well as Biege Temple and Saint Sword Temple, which belong to one of the must-see scenic spots in the second group. Considering that it belongs to the pre-Angkor period, and its qualifications are still above Angkor Wat and Barong Temple, it should definitely be included in the list of the top ten must-visit scenic spots. Bakong Temple is the most important temple in the Rolls group, which is generally returned to the outer circle scenic spots, and is the most important one in the outer circle besides the Queen's Palace and the collapse.
