CHIRINDA FOREST BOTANICAL It is situated on the slopes of Mount Selinda in South East of Zimbabwe.The name Chirinda means "lookout”.When it comes to remarkable trees one of the most special places in Zimbabwe is undoubtedly the Chirinda Forest Reserve. It is home to The Big Tree, arguably the largest tree in the country, a specimen of Khaya anthotheca or Red Mahogany. This tree, although now somewhat damaged by a lightning strike, still stands at more than 60 meters tall.
