Nowadays, the Amakusa Islands are connected to the mainland of Kyushu by bridges and ferries. Amakusa Shimojima is the largest island among them. On the west side of the island was a coastline with many cliffs that were difficult for people to approach. In such a place, hidden Christian-related facilities such as Oe Catholic Church and Sakitsu Catholic Church, which are registered as World Heritage Sites, are scattered. Because it is a land away from the mainland, Christian faith has been cultivated for a long time.
The largest island in the Amakusa Islands is Amakusa Shimojima. Suddenly realized white chapels.
It was amazing place because beautiful white chapel in the middle of very Japanese country farm.
