St. Mary's Church

The Church of Our Lady is a typical European country Gothic chapel. In front of the church is a three-story square bell tower with the three-story hall carved on the front, and behind the bell tower is a rectangular church and a two-story small building.

The centuries-old Catholic Church, the interior is solemn and warm, and the garden behind is quiet and quiet. There is a sunbathing dog at the door, leaving pedestrians and cars to pass by, it is only immersed in its own world and indifferent, a feeling of high realm.

There is a famous Catholic church on Weizhou Island, but it is not this Notre Dame Church. This Notre Dame Church can also be visited in the north, but the place is much smaller.

相比“天主教堂”，圣母堂规模要小很多。于1882年建成，是一座典型的欧洲乡村哥特式小教堂。教堂前面是一座三层方形钟楼，正面雕着“圣母堂”三字，钟楼后是长方形的教堂与一座两层的小楼。一百多年前修建二堂的法国神父，就葬在圣母堂中。圣母堂在一个村子里，不太好找，来这里的游客并不太多，很安静。旁边有些村里人在摆摊买东西，我们花了八块钱买了一把本地出产的香蕉，真便宜，非常好吃！

圣母教堂建于1880年，由法国传教士修建，规模要小于涠洲岛盛塘天主教堂，如果有时间，去看看也是不错的。尤其是教堂旁的几棵上百年的龙眼树，长得郁郁葱葱，满树果实累累，实在是难得一见的。

I have seen many churches in Europe, but on an underdeveloped tourist island without cars in China, a church with history and stories still feels different. This is also a famous scenic spot on Weizhou Island. Whether religious or not, it's worth going. I believe most of the couples who take wedding photos here are not religious, but they like the ritual feeling of the church.

The church is free of tickets, the surrounding scenery is beautiful, there are many things to eat, there are many kinds of sightseeing cars, ranging from 5 to 15 yuan. The walls made of various florets are also very beautiful, simple and old, full of vigor and vitality, very special. The church is very solemn and sacred. We also see people taking wedding photos here. It's a very aesthetic feeling.
