Very nice museum and ancient ruins. A nice and unexpected surprise while in Budapest. Very easy to get to thanks to the purple line.
What did the Romans do for us?
The museum can be reached on the green H5 light railway from Batthyany ter square in the Buda side of the city. Tickets were just over £1 each way and the museum/site less than £5 each to enter. I’m a...
Interesting side trip. Maybe 1-2 hours of stuff to see.
Interesting ruins. Many in tact relics. The ticket gets you access to Buda Castle as well. It would be cool to have a guided tour.
Roman town and interesting museum
The remains of the Roman town is impressive in sheer scale. The modern museum is well laid out with good explanations in English. Well worth a visit.
