It’s a pleasant place to have a rest and swim in summer. It is a high altitude lake so, even in summer it could be cold in the evening. I don’t enjoy swimming here much as the water is cold for me but mostly people enjoy swimming here. I like to watch the starry sky from here.

One of the best places to head out if you are tired of city’s noise. If you have only a day, then spending in the forest while having a picnic might be the best choice for you. If you have several days then book a hotel or cottage and have a good rest.

This statue is one of the symbols of the city of Dilijan. The statue represents the Armenian, Georgian and Russian heroes of the Soviet film “Mimino”. It is a must stop point while visiting Dilijan.

Haghpat Monastery is slightly shorter than Sanahin, but Haghpat later came on top, and hundreds of years later, Haghpat's status was definitely above Sanahin. It was larger, Byzantine. Some murals were preserved. On the hill near Alaverdi, the Sanahin monastery is visible across the valley.

In the suburbs of Yerevan, it was not convenient in the past. It is best to contact the travel agency. The Ghani Temple is the oldest ancient temple in the east. The surrounding area is also very beautiful and very distinctive, especially the autumn scenery is worth seeing.

Savan, Armenia is the closest region to Georgia, where there are not many people and tourists, and it is because of this that it is full of exploration. The architectural style here is Caucasian.

The Haghartsin monastery is located near the town of Dilijan. It can be said that the location of the monastery is very good. It is hidden in dense woods and walks along the winding road to the valley. There is a small parking lot next to the Haghartsin monastery. There are three churches in Haghartsin. Saint Astvatsatsin The main church was built in 1281, a tower-shaped building with a tall drum. Except to the west, all the walls have two triangular alcoves outside. The oldest is the Holy Grigor Church (11th century), with a domed tower above an octagonal barrel, and a nearby church is rectangular and built in the 12th century. The dome-shaped Stepanos chapel (1224 m), the structured canteen was built in 1248 by architect Minas, is a prominent representative of medieval Armenian architecture, its structure is bold, has a pair of square halls, the roof is cross arched. Unfortunately, it was originally a great historical monument and a world heritage site, but the Armenian church spent $2 million in 2010 to renovate, it looked very new, and there was no way to see too much shadow on the stone after the renovation. The monastery that travels through the millennium seems to be under a hundred years old, which also makes many people dissatisfied. Although it has lost the sense of ruin, you can also play in the Dilijan National Park when you come to Haghartsin Monastery. The scenery here is very good and it is a worthwhile trip.

[Armenian Genocide Museum] The Armenian Genocide Memorial Hall is located on the "Yanbao" hill in Tsitsernakaberd southwest of Yerevan City, built in 1965 after the outbreak of the 50th anniversary of the genocide in Yerevan. The memorial is small, and the exhibition covers a wide range of subjects, including the situation of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire before the genocide, the genocide itself, the reactions of the world at that time, and the impact of genocide on later history. There were three of the most brutal massacres of the twentieth century. The people are familiar with the Nazis’ massacre of Jews in Germany and the Rwandan genocide in the 1990s. But not much is known about the Armenian genocide. Under Ottoman Turks, Christian Armenians were not recognized by Muslims. Armenians, historically known as thorns, have been fighting tyranny. When the Ottoman Empire was dying, fearing that Armenians colluded with Russia against them, they kept looking for a massacre of Armenians until the height of World War I. Similar to the fate of the Jews, Armenians had been slaughtered many times in the late 19th century, but not on a large scale. It was not until World War I that Ottoman joined Germany’s side, and became a counter-measure with Britain, France and Russia. When the world war broke out in 1914, Ottoman and Russia faced each other and suffered a fiasco. His government was more concerned about the Armenians joining Tsarist forces to attack them. According to records, Armenians living in the Ottoman Empire before World War I had 2 million people, and after World War I had dropped to 500,000. Armenians had been fighting the tyranny of the Ottoman Empire, and their resistance group, the Fifth Column, had been fighting with the help of Russia. The Ottoman government used this as an excuse to expel the Armenians on the Anatolian Peninsula and drive them to the desolate outer Caucasus, the wasteland and deserts I kept seeing along the way from my car, barren land. Finally, this drive-through policy escalated into the Holocaust. Although the number of deaths is not accurate, scholars generally believe that 10,000 people died during World War I. In 1991, Armenia gained independence from the Soviet Union and established its territory, only 11% of the Armenian plateau. This is somewhat of a trigger for the serious situation in the future in the Transcaucasus region. Address: 8, 8 Tsitsernakaberd Hwy, Yerevan 0028 Armenian Transportation: Take bus 70 or 87 on the side of the road below the Yerevan step Time: 10:00-15:30
