Jiulao Cave

Jiulaodong is located under Jiulao Peak, next to Heilongtan. The mouth of the cave is in the shape of "human". It is about 1500 meters long and about 4 meters high. The height difference between the mouth and the bottom of the cave is 84 meters. It is the largest natural cave in Mount Emei. The full name is Jiulao Xianrendong. It is rumored to be the Dongfu of the Xianren party.

The Jiulaodong area is rich in rare earthworms in the world, with flowers in late spring and early summer. There are temples of wealth (for the statue of Taoism Zhao Gongming), Daxiong Temple, Sheli Temple (for the bronze Sheli Tower); There is Jiulianchi in front of the temple, built at the end of Qing Dynasty, rebuilt in 1930 AD, originally mainly used to reserve drinking and fire water, now for emergency and fire control, surrounded by stone columns with many text inscriptions. In 2003, the mountain gate (Shi archway) was newly repaired and the dam was renovated to make the old appearance look fresh; Monkeys infested in the temple, activities in the jungle, tourists are outdated, often blocking the road to eat.
