Old Tokaido
Original Text
When aiming for Kyoto from the old Tokaido and Edo, it seems that Mt. Fuji was always seen on the right side of the highway, but this name was given because the route was changed due to a disaster near Yoshiwara and it was seen on the left side. It is also introduced in Hiroshige's ukiyo-e. Now only pine trees remain along the road, and you can't see Mt. Fuji unless you are a little far away.
