Great night!
I went to the opening night for Blackfriars comedy club cabaret. Entertainment was excellent and had me in stitches. Just a great overall night so will hopefully be back soon!

My mum and I recently visited the Rotunda Comedy Club, also known as "The Comedy Cabaret" in Glasgow, hoping for a fun night of food and laughter. Unfortunately, what was promised as "Glasgow’s Only Fine-Dining Comedy Club!" turned out to be an absolute letdown. We paid £65 for dinner and show tickets, but from the moment we arrived, it was clear that the staff lacked organization and professionalism. Despite our initial urge to leave, we decided to stay, hoping things would improve. The dinner option we purchased was misleading, with limited choices from a vast menu, and no suitable vegetarian options available. When I asked to customize my meal to make it vegetarian, the waitress seemed frantic and stressed, having to consult the chef downstairs, only to propose an additional charge. The bar service was equally disappointing, as no staff member bothered to take our drink orders at the table, leaving us and other customers waiting for up to 30 minutes before realising we needed to go to the bar ourselves. The venue only accepted cash payments, which was inconvenient, and the drinks were served in small plastic cups, cheapening the overall experience, especially one advertised as a "Fine-Dining Comedy Club" -misleading much?. The staff's inefficiency was evident at the bar, where delays occurred due to their inability to operate the payment system, even with just one customer ahead of us. The atmosphere was further ruined by the excessively loud background music and the malfunctioning air conditioning, making the venue uncomfortably hot for the audience. The comedy show finally started around 9 pm, nearly two and a half hours after we arrived, with the host and 1 comedian being the main highlights of the night. We decided to leave after 1 hr. It's worth noting that the comedians themselves do not seem to be associated with the venue (2 different companies), which is a shame for their performances to be overshadowed by such an average venue/staff. Given the

Great night
Excellent new venue. Absolutely loved the smaller, more intimate venue. Very quick bar service too.
