Kelamayi Wetlands

Karamay Erik Lake, a blue in the desert, is located 16 kilometers southeast of the scenic area of Urqi Devil City in Xinjiang. The historic beautiful lake view has been in existence for more than 1300 years so far. This is Karamay's mother lake and its only lake. The lake area is rippling, reeds are overgrown, fish jumping birds, wild boar, yellow sheep often infested, trees are forested, farmland is crisscrossed, and a beautiful picture of the desert lake is naturally formed, so it is known as a pearl in the Gobi desert.

Pleasant scenery, strong fun, high cost performance

The water of the Karamay River was introduced from the Orzis River 400 kilometers away. Because the water resources here are quite scarce, on August 8, 2000, the water diversion project was completed. This is the only artificial river crossing in China built in the Gobi desert. It is this huge water diversion project. Only now has the "South of the Yangtze River" Karamay.

Karamay Lake Wetland is located in Karamay City, Xinjiang, one of the few shallow lakes with vegetation in the desert area of northwest China.
