"Miyakonojo" was the name of a medieval castle. The museum is a castle-like building built on the site of the castle. It is on a mountain called Shiroyama. In addition to the castle, there are also exhibits about Miyakonojo's culture.

Go up a little slope from the parking lot. But the scenery is wonderful and it is rattling on weekdays. There is also Sano Shrine in the immediate vicinity, which is also recommended.
