古松园内有一条斗折幽曲的双层长廊，置身廊内，既可近览古松翠色，又可远眺灵岩山景，令人顿生尘外之想。园中还有一泓半亩大小的池塘，湖石假山、亭榭回廊依水而设，其建筑倒影与天光云影交织在一起，景物越发风致可人，整个花园也因此多了几分空旷，也更觉得旖旎多姿。如此水景，正应了杜甫“名园依绿水”的诗意画境。
在木渎古镇古松园，进入天井，回首可见砖雕门楼。门楼上、下坊分别刻有老子西游入关、疯僧扫秦、将相和、截江夺斗、张羽传书、宁戚饭牛等一组历史故事人物 字枋为 明德惟馨 ，两侧兜肚分别为“张良拾履”和“高山流水”，整座门楼深雕缀饰，形神有致，尤其“张良拾履”中的拱桥和“高山流水”中的水浪波纹，生动逼真。
