Always wanted to stop when passing here on way to Bunclody/Carlow. Lovely 200+ year old bridge with equally old church overlooking the River Slaney as it wends its way to the sea. T he sun was shining...
Stunning bridge but don't attempt to go under it on a kayak
One side of the bridge is so calm but the other side is very rough and dangerous...we tried it and fell in! I wouldn't recommend going down the Slaney at this point unless you are extremely confident....
