Cute little park.
D52-70 is partially operational. Goes forward and reverse on it's little line of 40 feet.Has a few other railway items them and with in walking distance of the Yamakita Station.
It is a park with general playset and D52 exhibitions. In spring, you can start from this park and follow the Gotemba Line to the west to create a cherry blossom tunnel. You can take pictures of the Gotemba Line train, steam locomotive, and cherry blossoms together, and I personally think it is the most luxurious cherry blossom shooting place. When shooting cherry blossoms and trains, the number of trains is small, so it is better to check the timetable in advance and make a sufficient plan.
During the cherry blossom season, you can also stop by this park!

Every year, during the cherry blossom season, we stop by this park to take pictures of the cherry blossoms around Yamakita Railway Park, the Gotemba Line, and the cherry blossoms. I waited for the cherry blossoms to be in full bloom on April 3rd this year as well, and headed for Yamakita Town. I take a picture aiming at the Gotemba Line running through the row of cherry blossom trees from the guard on the railroad tracks beyond the park, but since there are not many Gotemba Lines, the timetable of the up and down trains passing through Yamakita Station Check first If you don't go, you'll have to wait for a long time ...
It is a park on the back side of the bridge across the overpass from Yamakita Station. SL D52 is on display. There are days when it moves several times a year. It's a pretty nice atmosphere.
Adjacent to Yamakita Station, which leaves a remnant that the Gotemba Line was the old Tokaido Line. There was also an engine ward to cross the pass, so he was proud of his prosperity. Now SL is on display and will create a slow time with local trains.
