The location is great. We arrived during midnight and before that the hotel has alrd sent email about the password and instructions about how to check in. They gave us free welcome drink for each person which u can redeem at their bar. The room is clean and comfortable. They also provided free mineral water. However, since below is the bar so my friend find it a little bit noisy. But it was OK for me.
I was a bit hesitant after reading the reviews, but I found this place to be a real gem. It's a bit far from the city center, but if you have a car, it's absolutely no problem. Parking is A$25 per night in the standard underground car park. You definitely need a car when visiting Western Australia.
The hotel infrastructure is excellent; this setup would easily qualify as a five-star hotel back home. During the Southern Hemisphere summer, the indoor pool was closed, but the outdoor pool is accessible directly with your room key. You can ask the staff for directions. The beach is right downstairs, and you can spend a whole day there, just like the locals do.
The ocean-view room was stunning; waking up to the sea view was amazing. The room was spacious and very clean upon check-in. However, the hotel is quite large, and the housekeeping on the second day was a bit slow; our room hadn't been cleaned by 4 PM when we returned, so we just grabbed fresh towels and skipped the cleaning. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful.
This area is a lively hub. Every summer, Western Australia hosts Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night markets, and Scarborough is where the Thursday night market takes place. The area around the hotel becomes incredibly vibrant, feeling like all of Perth has descended upon it.
Downstairs, there are various restaurants, including a Thursday Special Steak deal, offering a 30% discount. A 300g steak for A$30-40 is an amazing and delightful deal. There's a Coles supermarket within a 5-minute walk, where everything is cheaper – anyone who's traveled to Australia will understand.
Everything was so relaxing; I hope to come back soon.
Great location and is just a 3 min walk to Busselton Jetty. Rooms are clean and well equipped with amenities. The breakfast buffet selection was rather limited and I'd recommend heading across the road to Shelter or The Goose for breakfast.
The is very spacious. The king bed is big and comfortable. It's well maintained all the wall and ceilings are clean and looks new. Have coffee capsule machine and all standard stuff from every hotel provided. The best is the balcony with the vine view. And the bonus point is having kangaroos hanging around the golf resort even in front of your balcony area. Location wise is 30 mins away from the city. But, it's a good place to relax.
The pool, beds, tv and air con were great. The couch in the room was so uncomfortable, it gave me a sore back. It is disappointing that they have taken the kitchens out of the room as difficult to feed a family with no microwave. We love the pool and location so we probably would go again.

The environment is top-notch: The public areas and overall decor are very stylish, creating a relaxed atmosphere perfect for photos.
The hygiene is excellent: The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was fresh, and there were no unpleasant odors, making for a very comfortable stay.
Front desk service was average: The staff at check-in were a bit cold and didn't offer greetings or explanations proactively. It was pretty much a 'self-service' experience. If you prioritize hardware and hygiene, you can book this place without hesitation. However, if you highly value service experience, you might be a little disappointed.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, surrounded by numerous restaurants and shops in a bustling area of Perth. It's just a ten-minute walk to the Bell Tower and Elizabeth Quay. While there are some homeless people in the vicinity, the hotel maintains good security. After 9 PM, you need your room key to access both the lobby and the elevators.

After an early morning flight, I arrived quite early, intending to just drop off my luggage, but to my surprise, I was able to check in directly and go straight to my room to rest. The hotel is very quiet, and the room is large and clean. The studio comes with a small kitchen and a washing machine, which is fantastic for the price. There's a small supermarket downstairs for convenient shopping, and a bus stop right outside the entrance. It's only a 10-20 minute bus ride to the ferry terminal.
The room isn't huge, but it's very well-equipped and has everything you need. While compact, it was perfectly sufficient for our stay. The service attitude was truly excellent; they were incredibly accommodating, even converting the sofa into a small bed for our child. My only minor complaint is the entrance; it's a bit cramped, and you have to lift your luggage over two small steps to get in. For a town in spacious Australia, that felt a bit odd. The breakfast was good, and I particularly enjoyed being able to make my own fruit and vegetable juice.

The room was clean, and the family room we booked was quite spacious, with a fridge and microwave, which made it super convenient to heat up takeout.
The area around the hotel is packed with all sorts of specialty restaurants, mostly Asian ones. You'll find Vietnamese, Indian, Malaysian, Japanese, Korean, and even Chinese restaurants – basically everything! Right next door to the hotel, there's also a massive Asian supermarket, run by a ********* owner, and it's incredibly well-stocked. Grabbing some instant meals from there can definitely save you money on dining out.
The sky in South Australia is always so clear and blue, but the UV is really strong. Luckily, the room had those solid blackout curtains that created a perfect environment for a good night's sleep. Staying at this hotel was just incredibly convenient for eating and shopping.

Great
MMeiziMaggieThis is a beautiful hotel with its own casino and a variety of large, photo-worthy pools. The room facilities are great, the bed is very comfortable, and the surrounding environment is nice. It's not too far from the city, which is convenient, and there are many dining options. It's also connected to the adjacent hotel.
GGuest UserThe room was clean. There was daily housekeeping. The bathroom doesn’t have much except a hairdryer. The hotel staff was also very friendly and attended to us. Facilities were good, there’s a swimming pool, a gym and a restaurant.
GGuest UserVery close to Perth Airport with a free shuttle service. The staff were excellent and willing to accommodate our departure time. The hotel's central island features a slide panel, allowing for flexible configurations. Both the service and food at the hotel restaurant were great.
GGuest UserIf you stay consecutively, you need to clean the room. You must go to the front desk to remind the hotel to clean the room and replenish the supplies in the room, otherwise the hotel will not clean the room for guests staying consecutively. However, the hotel environment is still good.
AAnonymous UserGreat and friendly service. Good location. Comfortable bed and shower. AC was noisy and didn’t work well. It all looks very outdated but it’s good value for your money. Breakfast was fine. I hope they will change the paper cups for glasses and mugs.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the city center, but it's a 15-minute walk to Perth Station. If you don't like walking, I wouldn't recommend it. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, so you won't have trouble finding food. As for service, it really depends on which front desk staff you encounter. Out of the three I met, one had a very indifferent, poker-faced attitude throughout, while another was incredibly friendly, always smiling, and even slowed down their speech for us as foreigners. So, it's hard to judge the service consistently. However, the hardware facilities are quite basic. You have to insert your room card into a slot, wait for it to turn green, and then pull it out before you can press the elevator or open the door. It seems like a very old-fashioned and inconvenient design.
GgeorginaxoxoThe room is a bit old, but the location is truly central, with Dior, LV, and Chanel right downstairs. The bedding is quite clean, and the room size is decent, with a sofa, dining table, and kitchen, making it very suitable for tourists. It's also budget-friendly and offers great value for money. Across the road, there's a Coles supermarket, plenty of eateries nearby, and a 7-Eleven. Northbridge is also very close.
The only downside is that the city center gets quite noisy at night, with drunken people on the bar street. For safety, it's best not to go out at night.
An Uber to the airport takes about 30 minutes.
TTisna IskPerfect location for us. Close to cafes/eateries, St. Mary Cathedral, quiet at night...
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would be much better if the lighting in the corridor is brighter, also in the room. We found it a bit too dark.
We did not have any meals at the hotel.
What I find disappointing about Marriott Bonvoy's hotels : internet. the message that it is insecure and the complicated process to get access have been quite annoying.
I tried to book via Marriott Bonvoy's apps, but rate is significantly higher than OTA.
Love Westin's architecture and surrounding (spacious walkway). Could be better with heated pool.
GgeorginaxoxoI had a great experience staying here before, so I booked again. This time, I arrived at the hotel late at night after a tiring flight. The front desk initially said they couldn't find my reservation. After searching for half an hour, they said they found it but claimed I had already checked in. I told them I was right there and hadn't checked in yet. They then spent another twenty minutes verifying. During all this, I contacted Trip.com customer service, who were very responsive and helpful; an agent quickly reached out to the hotel. However, the hotel staff were incredibly slow and inefficient. The whole check-in process took nearly an hour. It was a stark contrast to my previous, much better experience.
Furthermore, on my last stay, they provided a full set of disposable amenities, but this time, there weren't even disposable slippers. I was just too tired in the middle of the night to bother looking for another hotel.
Honestly, this service experience was really disappointing. The environment is actually good, and the location is right next to UWA. Getting to the city takes about ten minutes by taxi.
Kudos to Trip.com's customer service; they were efficient even late at night and had an excellent attitude in resolving the issue!
LLux369Karri Valley Resort offers a truly serene escape, set amidst the stunning natural beauty of Western Australia. This destination is undoubtedly one of the most relaxing places you can visit, with breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere that invites you to unwind.
The accommodations, especially the lakefront rooms, are fantastic. They provide a perfect vantage point to soak in the picturesque scenery. However, there are areas that need attention, particularly regarding the cleaning service. On our two-day stay, the cleaners arrived quite late, and unfortunately, their work did not meet expectations. The bed wasn't properly made, the pillowcases were not changed, and the floors were not vacuumed, which was quite disappointing. This aspect highlights the need for improved management of the housekeeping team to ensure a consistently high standard of cleanliness.
The resort's restaurant, however, is a highlight. It boasts a beautiful ambiance and a menu that delivers a perfect balance of flavors. The food was expertly prepared, but we did find the portion size of the duck leg ordered for our 12-year-old to be a bit small. While the presentation and taste were exceptional, a larger portion would enhance the overall dining experience.
Another minor concern was the noise levels in the rooms. With some soundproofing measures, particularly on walls shared with other rooms, the overall comfort could be significantly improved.
On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful, contributing to the warm atmosphere of the resort. I would highly recommend visiting Karri Valley Resort for its heavenly lake views and relaxing environment. With a few adjustments, it has the potential to be an unparalleled getaway in WA.
