Great location, excellent service, and a lovely breakfast! The room was very clean and tidy, and the staff at breakfast were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was included in the price, which made the stay even better value. There is a huge open field and a very clean river right next to the hotel. You can see people practising rowing, and walking along both sides of the river is really relaxing. There are also mallards and swans nearby, and you can buy special swan food from the hotel bar to feed them. I originally chose this place because the town is close to Cambridge and the price was reasonable, but I ended up really enjoying the town itself. With such a beautiful location, good service, and affordable price, this hotel is definitely great value for money.

The room decor was quite distinctive and to my taste. We stayed in one of the slightly larger rooms, but it still felt a bit cramped because the bathroom and balcony were incorporated, making the space feel tight. The environment is nice, being close to the river, which is quite picturesque. If you prioritize the surroundings, it's a good choice. However, the bed was too soft and uncomfortable to sleep on, and the staff's attitude was also rather unenthusiastic.

The room was clean, modern, and spacious. The hotel offers an underground car park and a laundry room, which is very convenient. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant, and the quality was good for both. The location is great, just about a 10-minute walk to Cambridge.

This is a very old hotel, the hotel is a bit old, but the room is large, the hotel is good, the only drawback is that there is no elevator on the second floor, but the overall stay experience is still good, the best choice for family travel, facilities are also very good!

The hotel is right next to Cambridge train station, which made getting around super easy. The weather was quite hot, but the room temperature was comfortable and controllable with the air conditioning. It was also quiet, with no disturbances. However, when I woke up in the morning, I found a small fly in the room, which was a bit off-putting. The window was closed, so I'm not sure how it got in.

This was my second stay at the hotel in a single room 114. I decided to stay again as it was very good value and a fairy short walk into Cambridge. I had a different single room than before and it was Ok. It had a decent shower and a comfortable bed. I was very cosy. The room had T and coffee facilities, and a T pot that I greatly appreciated during my last stay. I had a better view in this single room which was nice. It is a short walk to the shops, bus stop and the museums. As I was visiting cultural venues it’s a great positioned hotel not far from The Cambridge Museum and the Castle. I really liked staying in this hotel. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was very good value with really good ham, fresh fruit and yoghurts, nice muffins ext. there is plenty of spaces available to relax in the hotel. If you like 90s retro the spaces are great! The staff were very helpful and I stowed luggage so that I could visit Cambridge. It’s a great value hotel for solo travellers so please keep a good price for us! A very good stay here I will be back. Excellent location near to Airport. But unfortunately the redlion kitchen was not opened when we were there. Train station just behind the airport.

Stayed at Novotel Cambridge North recently and had a really solid experience overall. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. The facilities were impressively clean, especially the swimming pool and sauna - both well maintained and relaxing to use. Breakfast was more than sufficient, with a great standard full English buffet that was always topped up quickly, so nothing ever felt picked over. Location-wise, it’s just a 4-minute walk from Cambridge North train station, which makes getting in and out incredibly easy. The connections are excellent, and having a Co-op right opposite is really convenient - especially since the hotel itself is a bit removed from other shops and amenities. Overall, a comfortable and well-run stay, particularly if you’re travelling by train or need a quieter base just outside the city.

Stayed 3 nights so that we could visit family and friends in the area. Booked a twin room which had adequate space for 2 of us and separate area with small table and chairs if needed. Beds were comfortable and the room was warm (once I was shown how to activate the heating) Unfortunately the bathroom was very cold as the hotel boiler needed repair so the radiator wasn’t working. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. The hotel is quite dated and in need of an upgrade which is on the planning. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially when I realised I’d left my own personal pillow on the bed. They tracked it down and a friend collected for me the next day. Definitely stay agin when next in the area.
