We are delighted to bring an exhibition by Sophie Calle, one of the most celebrated and influential conceptual artists in the world, to audiences in Northern Ireland for the first time. Beyond the Gaze – Shared Perspectives presents video works (Voir la Mer, 2011) and photographic pieces (L’Hôtel, 1981-1983). The work presented in the exhibition has been generously loaned from the Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris, and supported by Galerie Perrotin. Accessibility The Lower Gallery is accessed via the ground floor, which is step-free. The Upper Gallery is accessed via lift from the ground floor or via the main staircase. The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission (NIHRC) is launching its new independent research report ‘The Environment, Human Rights and the Windsor Framework'. The event will take place on Tuesday 24 June, from 10.30am - 1.30pm at the Dublin Suite, Europa Hotel, Belfast. The event will be in-person and online. The report, written by Dr Ciara Brennan (Director, Environmental Justice Network Ireland), Dr Mary Dobbs (Associate Professor, Maynooth University), Alison Hough BL (Senior Lecturer, Technological University of the Shannon), Dr Orla Kelleher (Assistant Professor, Maynooth University), and Dr Lisa Claire Whitten (Research Fellow, Queen's University Belfast), examines the relationship between Article 2 of the Windsor Framework and environmental protections in Northern Ireland. Join us for a discussion on the findings of the report and on the relevance of Windsor Framework Article 2 for the protection of environmental rights in NI. Fledglings Summer Sensory camp is designed for: Children aged from nursery to p.2 With special educational needs Led by our skilled and experienced Behaviour Therapy and Psychology team, this camp will take place at our independent special school (Sensations Nest) in Carryduff. Activities will be designed to allow children to explore their senses, learn, create and have fun! At the Nest, we use the outdoors as a key element of our learning experience. We anticipate as much outside time as possible (there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes!!), and children will be in a small group, with high pupil:staff ratio. We will be playing in the mud kitchen, exploring the jungle gym, sand and water tray, messy play experiences as well as using specialist approaches from our trained team, such as Attention Autism. This year we are running the scheme for two weeks instead of one.
